College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Test

The College Level Examination Program CLEP exams, developed by the College Board, allow you to earn college credit for what you have learned through independent study, high school courses, non-credit members or professional development.  CLEP saves you tuition costs and time.  Exam credits are accepted by many colleges and universities throughout the US.  CLEP exams are free to active military services members.

 Purchase and register for a CLEP test online though College Board

1. Pay the $97 CLEP exam fee online at the time of registration.
2. Print your CLEP registration ticket. You will need to bring it to your testing appointment.  Each registration ticket is valid for six months from the date of purchase.

        4. Make payment of $30 for proctor fees.

               - Home schooled students, if you don't have the required government- issued ID, you can     complete the Student ID Form which is valid for one year.

 Modern States is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making college affordable and attainable.  They offer free online CLEP courses and free CLEP testing.  To earn college credit, students must take CLEP exam and achieve a qualifying score.
